you can light yourself on fire only once, but you have to work at being a better person every day. he lights himself on fire and Aldo falls into his arms and says yes, all right, I will be with you, and that’s the happy ending, that’s the romance - but for Tedesco to pull himself apart? to examine why he thinks the things he does? that’s a horror. they’re doomed before they’ve even begun…
